The existing track system was installed during construction of the viaduct and comprised of 113lb flat bottom rail on cast iron baseplates directly fixed to the track slab by anchors, of which approximately 30% had become ineffective from the resonance of train operations

Examination of the existing faults and determination of the options that would offer possible solutions

Undertaking necessary surveys and preparing detailed designs for the new anchoring solution, including a comprehensive installation strategy

Project managing the installation phase, supervising the installation work and undertaking hand-back assessments

The works were successfully completed in late 2006
