Isle of Man Railways commissioned Novus Rail to undertake the complete renewal and remodelling design of Douglas Yard as it was life expired and required complete renewal

Douglas Station and Yard junction, Including the train maintenance workshop, coal bay and passenger platforms
Services Undertaken
Preparation of the outline and detailed design for the railway yard junction renewal (partially concrete for road deliveries) and optimisation of the passenger interface at platforms
Significant design aspects also included structural concrete yard slab design, HGV swept path analysis, surface water drainage design and new cable routing strategy
Designs produced in line with IoM Railways standards
